Hello,
I have a Joseph Stukes who came to American in the late 1760's-early 1770's and
he was a jeweller by trade, specializing in silver. He was written up in a book
in Charleston,
SC listing the jewellers and silversmiths of the time. Would he have been a
member of
some kind of organization for jewellers/silversmiths in England in that time
period? If
so, where could I obtain info on this man? I do not know where he lived in
England.
