I am seeking information about my GG grandfather and his family, I have
some information about him and am trying to find out about his family
before he migrated to Australia, I know that:

My GG grandfather Thomas JOHNSON was born in Wisbech about 1832
(Parents, I think, James JOHNSON and Mary BRIDGEMAN) and was a Roman
Catholic. He married in the June qtr. 1853 at Wisbech, to either Mary
Sarah RAITHBY or Mary Ann YOUNGS. (Mary Sarah is directly under his
name in the Free BMD record) He arrived in Melbourne in Dec 1854. His
marriage certificate in Oct. 1855 states he was a widower with a
deceased son, presumably his wife died in child birth or soon
afterwards. His first child born in Melbourne was baptised Mary Ann, so
that may have been the name of his first wife.

Can any one help with information or where I could find records that may
assist my search?
