Subject: Blakes Passage,Clares Passage,Hamment Court

Dear Listers
Blakes Passage was off Little Church Str. near the market place in the
vicinity of Church Mews. It no longer exists as Blakes Passage.
Clares Passage was off Great South Str. which on a modern map is now
known as West Str. It does not now exist and the nearest you can see on a
modern map is John Thompson Rd. near the Flowerpot public house.
Hamment Court was off George Str. which is a small street at the town
centre end of Norwich Rd. George Str is now known as Elizabeth Terrace on a
modern map. I do not know yet if these houses still exist. A lot of Elizabeth
Terrace dates back to the late 1800's and these houses are still standing. Will
check this out.
All this information has been checked at Wisbech museum.
