My mother's family, the Cowens, lived at 31 Nene Parade, now gone, and
the three girls born at the turn of the century, went to St Augustine's
School and are buried in St Augustine's Church. The oldest member of
the family I know of was George William Cowen, born 27 November 1868 and
died 5 November 1959 at 31 Nene Parade. I was surprised not to find the
Cowen family mentioned . the Wisbech list and would be grateful for any
earlier information.
