Hello Listers!

back from me hols to read some very unpleasant messages on this great List....what is going on? ? The Listowner's lot is not a happy one but I am so greatful to Peter for doing an excellent job even though I don't have much idea about what is involved.

I personally like to read the Liverpool anecdotes and memories as well as the genealogy, as others have said, it jogs our memories, gives us an idea....puts meat on those bones...I do think reading jokes is boring so I quickly delete...no problem.

If any Lister has had success tracing Irish ancestors with just details of County, birth years and names please can you tell me how you did it. I have Great grandparents John and Mary SULLIVAN ( nee CARTY) and daughter Margaret arriving in Liverpool from somewhere in Co. Mayo between 1860 and 1865.
