Hi Judy,

The Richmond Sausage Factory, on Linacre Road, corner of Ocean Road.I am
not sure but I think it is now closed. The Laundry 'next door' doesn't
ring any bells.

In the fifties, when 'courting',on most nights could be seen running like a
'mad thing' down Sefton Road, over the Lift Bridge and round to the bus
stop outside Richmonds to catch the last bus back to Liverpool. Happy days,
wish I could run like that now!!

Go to <www.litherlandtown.co.uk> Lots on Litherland, super photos and if you
E.mail <> I am sure that Howard, the site owner will
produce a photo of Richmonds for you.

My great aunt Emily bn 1899 was engaged to a lad whose family 'had a sausage
factory' in Litherland.
He died in the 1818 flu epidemic.
Ring any bells?
Of course the story might be inflated by the years-maybe it was a butcher's
shop!
