Hi List
WAVERTREE ROAD, LIVERPOOL 7
Does anyone know if the buildings along Wavertree Road,
which are now shops, used to be houses at any time in the
past? Specifically, 65 Wavertree Road. Otherwise, would it
have been normal for the flats above to be let on short
term? As it's on my bus route to work, I have worked out
that no 65 is on the corner of Janet Street and Wavertree
Road by peering out of the window and counting along from
those shops with numbers clearly shown.
Also, my gt gt grandfather who, together with mystery wife
no 2 and his five daughters from marriage no 1, travelled
to America between 1878 and 1880. The second child of their
marraige was born in Brooklyn in 1880. They returned some
time between 1880 and 1884. Any advice on how to find the
ships they may have sailed on, and trace their names on the
passenger lists would be greatly appreciated.
Best wishes
Barbara
