Alan:
I came across your website by happen-chance some time ago. Congratulations
on an excellent job!
I too spent my childhood in Ilford from 1947 to 1954 when I attended the
Ilford County High School in Barkingside(?)
I had no idea there were other EARWAKERs in Ilford at the time. My father
(Joseph Earnest) came from a small family and had only one brother (Jack)
who lived in Southgate. So I don't suppose we are related -- not closely
anyway.
It's been a long time since I was last in Ilford. I left the UK many years
ago for a peripatetic existence. Currently I spend part of the year in
Washington DC and the remainder in Paris with my wife Carmen (who has no
English credentials whatsoever).
Thankyou for the website ..... Frank J EARWAKER
