Hello Alan and Listers.
Yes, I have made a detailed examination of these parishes.
A point to consider is that two children of George Earwaker and Charlotte (nee Gray) who were baptised at Hound in 1847 and 1849 were entered in the register as Heniker.
They also had a child baptised at Westend in 1844 who is shown in the register as Awaker.
They had some children baptised as Earwaker, one at South Stoneham in 1852 and five at Owlesbury between 1854 and 1867.
George, who was a native of Exton, was previously married to Jane Windebank and was a widower when he married Charlotte.
One of the children of his first marriage was Isaac who later became the farm bailiff at Botley Farm, his family being a feature of the museum now at the farm in question.
Isaac also married twice and it was the second family that lived at Botley.
I have a photograph of his first wife Elizabeth Jane Hatchard, whom he married in 1854 at Southampton Register Office and who was buried at Bursledon in 1874.
I hope this information is helpful to somebody on the list.
Cheers for now Rodney Whale.
