I think you might link in with my wife's Earwaker tree which starts in West Meon and moves to South Stoneham, Hedge End and Botley.
If you would like to send more information regarding your Charles I will see where he fits in to the family.
I mention that you are not alone in marrying an Earwaker, Albert Powell married Anne Earwaker in 1881 at Hedge End.
