Just thought I'd mention that I contacted Maureen Luxton about a
year ago when starting out on my Earwicker research. She was
such a helpful lady and even visited the record office in Chichester
to do some lookups for me just as a favour. She gave me such a
lot of info, for which I am very grateful. Hope you are equally
successful.

My Earwickers are from Boxgrove, Nr Chichester, Sussex.

Subject: Surname Question
Hi Alan,
my name is Colin Earwaker. After all these years I have started to
research the surname that we have so that I can now answer people when they
say "thats an unusual name, what does it mean?" I've done some research on
the net but so far every where that I have found are sites that require
paid membership. Whilst researching I found your name so I thought I should
contact you to find out if you know what the surname means and where it
originates from. If you do know this I would appreciate it if you could let
me know or at least point me in the right direction. Unfortunately I don't
have any info on any other Earwakers that you seem to be interested in, as
all my relations live in the North of England but if you need any info on
these I will only be too pleased to help.
Best Regards
Colin Earwaker
