Hello Allen and all those other 'Boar watchers!!',
I also have Gardner(Gardiner) on my Tree- Sarah Gardner married Jeremiah Northeast in Eastergate Sussex, 1760 ( 3x Gt. Grandparents). Her parents were Will. Gardner b 1718 Aldingbourne, and Anne Noakes.m. 1739 in Brighton Sussex.
I am still trying to find out about my Mary Earwicker m William Woolven 1777 Sidlesham Sussex.(4xGt.Grandparents)
Allen has very kindly made some suggestions and I have written to Maureen Luxton and am hoping for some help from her. I have a printout of the Sussex IGI but that is not a lot of help.
