Peter and all,
You wrote: "Perhaps Bancker was engaged in trade with the colony"; I think
yoy are right here.
I met this Willem Ban(c)ker, merchant in Amsterdam:
--6 Jan 1702 some of the heirs of Rev. Henricus Selijns declare that they
recieved their legacies from Willem Banker (I have the abstract of Selyns
will, but till now I was not succesfull in locating or ordering the original
text; I traced all his heirs but the abstract must contain many
transcription errors or typos. Perhaps someone can help me here).
--28 Jun 1711 Willem Banker is named as attorney for, among others, Abraham
and Catharina de Peijster.
Regards from Holland,
Frans Gouverneur
