Possibly interesting for some of you:
In Utrecht (the Netherlands) I found in the Notarial Archive (notary F. van Meerkerck) the following record, dated 3 Apr 1694:

Harmijntje NAEGELS, widow of Harmen VAN WETTEN (in his life mandemaker [basket-maker] in Utrecht) who gives attorney to her daughter Geertruijt VAN WETTEN, married to Gijsbert VERHOEF (koeckenbakker [cake/biscuit baker, confectioner] in Utrecht) to receive a legacy from her (Harmijntje's) cousin Adrijaen Gerritss PAPENDORP, who died at Albany. The money is to be paid by Henderick SYBIN and Willem BANCKER, merchants in Amsterdam. (the Utrecht-heirs of Henricus SELIJNS receive their legacies also from Willem BANCKER, as read in another record).

The reformed church of Albany gives a few entries for Adriaen Gerrits Papendorp and in the abstracts of wills of New York he is called Adrian Gerrits Popendorf).

I have no further information for Adriaen, but am interested in his (possible) relation tot Willem BANCKER.

Warm reagrds,
Frans Gouverneur
