David,
According to the Decker Genealogy by Benton Weaver Decker, pg. 186, Heyltje
Decker was born in Marbletown, Ulster Co., NY and bp in the Kingston RDC (KB
# 537) November 06, 1687 to Jacob Jans Decker and his first wife, Belytie
Jans Bastiaense (d/o Jan Bastiaensen and Annetje Cornelis). Jacob Jans was
the son of the emigrant Jan Broersen (Decker) and his first wife, Heyltje
Jacobs.
Abraham Schut's parents were Willem Jansen Schut of Ehrungen, Hesse-Cassel,
Germany and Grietje Jacobs. It's quite likely that this Grietje Jacobs was
the younger sister of Heyltje Jacobs, wife of Jan Broerson (Decker).
