Dear Listers
Have just received marriage certificate for Stephen ROLLS/Mary Ivy HAWKINS October 5 1861 Parish Church Bloxworth. Both were under age so after Banns. Stephen ROLLS father name was Charles but Mary father name was blank. As Mary was under age would someone have to give permission? Does that mean she was an orphan/ workhouse Witnesses were Sarah IVY unable to read other witness name. Can SKs please look up the 1861 census for Bloxworth to see if there is a Stephen Rolls and Mary Ivy HAWKINS for me. Or the Parish records to see if they can read what is on the certificate TIA.
