Hello Don,
I am not replying to your 1851 census query, but I am wondering if my
elusive SMART's appear anywhere in your tree.
I have an Emmanuel SMART born abt. 1859 Alton Pancras, ( according to the
1881 census. ) Parents as yet unknown.
He married Annie Maria SAMWAYS ( date and location as yet unknown ) and they
had three boys:-
Charles Thomas SMART bapt. 1 JUL 1877 in Plush Village.
James H. SMART born abt. 1882 in Plush Village.
John E. SMART born abt. 1886 in Plush Village.
Emmanuel was for some time a Publican at the Cricketers Inn, Wimborne. He
was definitely there in 1914.
In anticipation,
Wendy Stacey
Verwood, Dorset, UK.
Also researching SAMWAYS and JOLLIFFE.
