Dear Sue,
It would seem to me that your great grandfather would have
been married sometime between his wifes 20th birthday and the baptism of
their first known child, that is after 1864. Now your know his name and you
know hers so all you need to do now is search the GRO index for their
marriage or contract a researcher to do it for you.
