Hello list
My 3x great granfather Johann Carl Aberle who came to Australia in 1848 had stated on his marriage certificate his place of birth. I am unable to decipher it and I wondered if anyone could. It appears to be:-

Stes?ears, Schlesing.
The Schlesing is probably Schlesien, having been written as it sounded in English but the name of the town or village I cant work out.
