Hi Jill, I'm not sure if this will help,
If they were married in the BASFORD district that would be a NOTTINGHAM
registration, The main Register office in Nottingaham is;
Nottm Rgister Office,
Shakespeare Street,
Nottingham.
The Central Library also has a small Family History section and the staff
are very helpful, thay may even do a look up for you via E Mail;
ANGEL ROW LIBRARY
http://www.nottscc.gov.uk/libraries/newlinc/gateway/famhistory/index.htm
This link will take you directly to the Family History Section
Good Luck

Subject: [DBY] Derby Registration
Hello Listers,
Can you help me out I would like to know if someone was born in Heanor would
they have been registered in Belper.
I have a Marriage certificate dated May 1879. The marriage took place in
Heanor but the Registration District is Basford.
I know my Thomas Hambleton was born in Heanor abt 1888 as per the 1891
census and the War Commission Site,
The only birth that has been found is 4th Qtr 1887 Male Hambleton Belper
7b 581.
But does not give the First name .
Look forward to your replies.
Thank you
Regards
Jill
