Just a note of caution. I had been looking for a passenger list for a
family in May of 1881. They came indirect. I had tried everything on
the ancestry site but I always put in the place of origin as Denmark as
the last name is Jensen. I finally took Denmark out and found the
family [I am quite sure it is them] landing in New York the middle of
May 1881 but they were listed as being from Sweden. No one on the ship
was from Denmark, only England, Ireland, and Sweden. Besides there is
a very large ink blot over their names. They registered in Denmark the
end of April 1881. the names, ages etc match the family. Good Luck.
