Partikulier.
The meaning of this word has changed a bit over the years, hence all the
different interpretations.
If you are looking at records from ca. 1870 to ca. 1930 (give and take 15
years) it is, as Karen says, a lot owner.
Especially on Sjælland many small holders (husmænd/boelsmænd) called
themselves partikulier.
How it got that meaning I can't say. The word comes from the Latin word
particularis which means special!
