I believe it was an error on the part of the census taker or the one who
transcribed the records. Nothing (apart from these few records) indicates
that there was a wish to harmonize different patronyms in a family. It is
however understandable that she was called Olsen in 1880 and 1890 as the
authorities made a great effort to "Europeanize" the naming practise in
those years.
