Hello,

I received DIS-Nyt from DIS-Danmark today, and they mentioned a site which is listing indexes to some of the parishes at Arkivalier online. I remember some of you debating doing the same, so perhaps it's worth doing something with those guys.

Personally, I have no interest, but then I have easy access to most records, as I live about an hour from the archives in Copenhagen, and have access to a couple of very good local archives - I really am lucky in that respect, and feel very privileged compared to some of you.

I tried Arkivalieronline when it was started and decided it was too slow (I'm on a dial-up modem) and the quality of the scans is too bad. I prefer the films/fiches, plus the access to help and other sources, books et cetera at the archives.
