Subject: Need help on place name -- Stobberup Skovgård

I'm looking for some help on a place name. My wife's
Danish great-grandfather's birth place is given in the
churchbooks of Lsning Sogn, Hatting Herred, Vejle Amt
as what looks like Stobberup Skov (Ive seen it on the
Web as Stubberup Skov). In a letter he wrote himself,
he gave his birth place as Stobberup Skovgrd. In
other related records, the place name is simply given
as Stobberup. Could someone explain these variations
in the name? The place is apparently known today as
Stubberup. Only Stubberup (and not Stobberup) can be
found here:
