Congratulations Rock, that puzzle has really been a tricky one to
solve.
Two remarkable problems are now solved
- Sophia did -not- go alone in her age of 13 years.
- She traveled via Hamburg, not København.

The trip most likely went from Taasinge (or Ærø) to Kiel by Boat
and then by Railway to Hamburg.
If they left from home early 29 Jan they could, with a bit of
luck, be in Kiel in the evening. They may have stayed overnight
in the Boat and have taken the train to Hamburg next morning.
This would bring them to Hamburg already midday the 30 Jan, early
enough to buy tickets and go on board the ship next morning.

New problem.
What happened to her brother Anders in the States?
