I think I can answer my own question. I went into the yellow pages
(http://www.degulesider.dk <http://www.degulesider.dk/>; ) looking for
Enghave Church. The road in back of the church is called “Slien”. They
were actually living right next to the church. I wish all my small
projects were so easily solved.

Can you help with an address in Copenhagen? I have got the same address
from two different sources, neither of which I have been able to scan.
This is the address of a couple at the time of their wedding in 1946.
The word is very short and very unclear in both cases. The first source
was transcribed as being “(S?)lein and the second source as “S[bai]”. In
the second case the S seamed very clear and matches other S´s on the
page. The rest was unclear. The couple got married in Enghave Church,
which might give an idea about the general location of the address.

For general guidance. Do you know of a good source for addresses in
Copenhagen and is it possible to find out te which parish an address
belongs?
