I have information on the Meroney family. Your query on
William Meroney,Senior, who is my great grandfather x6.
Born in 1693,probably Kent County,Delaware, with wife
Exprance. He died about 1775 Mispillian Neck,Kent,Delaware
Besides the children that you have listed, one is my 5th
great grandfather, William, Junior born in 1735,wife- Rachel
Tomlinson. One of their 4 children was my 4th great grandfather, John Meroney
- born in 1765 in Kent County,
Delaware. Wife - Esther Ozias. They lived in Eaton,Preble
County,Ohio. Of their 9 children, Nathan was my 3 great
grandfather,born in 1801 in North Carolina. Wife - Nancy Long. Next is
my great great grandfather, Ithamar who was
the oldest of six children, born in 1824,Preble County,Ohio
,Wife - Clarissa Stroud. Ithamars only son, William, was my
great grandfather, born in 1859 in Illinois.His wifes name
was Anna Margaret Taylen. My grandfather was one of 5 children, his name
was William Edward. and my father, Russell was one of his sons. I have
more information and
am willing to share if you are. I hope you get this message even though
it has been a long time since you posted your message. Also, William Sr.
fathers name was John Mulroney
and his wife's name was Elizabeth Williams. He came from
Ireland probably about 1689 or before we think.He died before Nov. 1702
in Kent County,Delaware.
