Hi all -
A few subscribers have asked how to utilize the Link Activity
report which you receive from the CyndisList mailing list.
The Link Activity report is intended to show subscribers where
update activity has occurred on the Cyndi's List web site. If you
have genealogical research interests in Alberta, Canada for example
and you see the following entry on the Link Activity report:
Category Summary ( Cyndi's List - Canada - Alberta
http://www.CyndisList.com/alberta.htm ):
* New Links:29
* Updated Links:23
* Removed Links:5
* Total Links:134
you'll know that you should visit Cyndi's web page for Alberta to
see what's new and what's been updated. Most e-mail programs will
let you click on the above URL to go there directly via your web
browser. When viewing the Alberta page, use the "New" and
"Updated" graphics to find the new and changed links. This can
help you quickly see if any of the new or updated links may be of
interest to you in your Alberta research. The Link Activity report
shows every category on Cyndi's List which was has been changed.
The Link Activity report thus provides you with a near-daily
summary of where the new and updated links are on the Cyndi's List
web site by individual category page. We hope you find this
research tool useful in efficiently allocating your research time
on the Internet.
Good Hunting - Mark
