thank you all very much for your help. It's very nice. It gives me some idea of how to conduct my investigation. I guess I'll just start down Miguel Angel's list and see how I make out.

Miguel Angel brings up a good point. Iglesias, capillas, ermitas, and
convents which were not designated as "parishes" do not keep records or archivos of
the sacraments performed in these places of worship. Those records or
registros are at the parish which had jurisdiction over that particular iglesia,
capilla, ermita or convent. For example the church of Santa Rita in La Habana's
neighborhood of Miramar was founded in 1943 as a church, and it was not until
1995 when it was named a parish. The registros of Santa Rita between 1943 and
1995 are found at the parish of San Agustin who had jurisdiction over Santa
Rita during this period.
