It was very pleasant surprise to find all these messages about the de Vera
family. It seems there are different ones because of place of origin. Luis
Tomás de Vera y de la Fita, o de Laffitte, was born
in Madrid, España, had no connection with the Islas Canarias. His
documents can be found in thel Museo Naval in Madrid they were presented
when he requested to be admitted in the Real Marina Española. Venancio de
Vera has his nobility information presented to be admitted in the Real
Orden de Carlos III and was Luis Tomás' first cousin he was Ayuda de
Cámara of HRM Carlos III and of HRM Carlos IV, like his father.. Luis
Tomás father was Josep Antonio de Vera-Valencia y Salazar, born in Madrid,
captain and later, brigadier of the Reales Guardas de Infantería Española
y governor of the castle and city of Alburquerque in Spain.
In the book Historia de Familia Cubanas, the Morejón family can be found
and is really Rodríguez Morejón.
