In "Historia de familias cubanas" by Francisco de Santa Cruz y Malln, in
Vol. II, p. 301, he shows Domingo del Monte y Aponte, b. August 1803 in
Maracaibo, Venezuela and d. April 12, 1854 in La Parroquia de Guadalupe, La
Habana. He was married to Rosa Aldama y Alfonso. He was the son of Leonardo
del Monte y Medrano, b. Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Rep, and of
Rosa Aponte y Sanchez, b. Santo Domingo.

Is this the same Domingo you are seeking? If you are checking on Dominga
Delmonte y Aponte, by her two surnames, her mother's name would have to be
Aponte. As mentioned above, this Domingo's wife is Aldama. Are you sure of
her second surname? This Domingo and his wife, Rosa, only show three sons:
Gonzalo del Monte y Aldama, b. May 1840; Miguel del Monte Pichardo y Aldama,
b. November 1834; and Leonardo del Monte y Aldama (no birth date given). The
dates would fit for Dominga to be this Domingo's daughter if she was married
circa 1850; she could have been born before Miguel, who was b. in 1834.
Unfortunately, I don't have the marriage date for Domingo and Rosa.
