This lady mentioned a "birth certificate," not a marriage
certificate. I fail to see the relationship between them. I personally
could not produce a birth certificate that is more recent than 43 years old,
when I left Cuba. I think that in cases like this the burden is being
placed totally on the shoulders of the individual, and that at the present
time the mechanisms necessary to solve this problem are not in place. What
the existing situation really denotes is a high degree of distrust in the
individual applying for the sacraments, and this really is not a very pretty
scenario. Really, marrying twice, like all sins, is shouldered by the
believer, not those who might believe that they have the right to "reward or
condemn." That is esclusively the right of The Alminghty.
