Hi, I am trying to figure out how to conduct further research on ancestors
of mine who lived in Cuba. I am not sure how to proceed now that I have
exhausted information from within the family... If you have any suggestions
based on localities mentioned or other ideas, I thank you in advance for
sharing them with me.

Raul Pino

The ancestors are:
- Manuel Vilas Gomez, who was born in Bastavales, Galicia, Spain probably
in the decade of the 1880s and who emigrated to Cuba. He married Maria
Teresa Capin Ordaz and, I presume, they both lived in Pinar del Rio. He
died fairly young probably around 1913-14, I assume, in Pinar del Rio as
well.
- Maria Teresa Capin Ordaz, married to Manuel Vilas Gomez, born in Alonso
Rojas, Pinar del Rio, probably in the 1880s. She died either in La Habana
or Pinar del Rio around 1923-4. Father Salvador Capin and mother Juana
Ordaz.
- Angela Crespo Garcia, born in Santiago de las Vegas, La Habana, Cuba.
Married Hipolito Pino Calero. She died around the 1930s, in La Habana
province, potentially in Guira de Melena.
- Hipolito Pino Calero, not sure when or where in Cuba he was born (either
La Habana or Pinar del Rio provinces). Not sure either when he died but
likely after 1908.
