what year, approximately?
i would think he would appear in spanish military indexes.
what was his brother?

that means he was a letrado and probably studied law or something similar.
perhaps at the university of oviedo.
you might be able to find a book (i think one exists) listing graduates for
the 1800s
a magistrade of the audience of a province was not a bad post.

i would think if would be possible to find his death certificate in the
civil register in cuba,
if someone could go there and ask for it.

i have seen very few florez, much less florez de quinones.
> Does anyone knows about him?
no, but i can suggest you get the entry on FLOREZ DE QUINONES, if such an
entry exists in the diccionario by carraffa. it might at least indicate
where there was such a family.
i will check my records, but i seem to recall there was a family with such a
name at La Corueña (not la coruña).
it may be some town in northern leon, or asturias.
perhaps it is the same family as that of the admiral alvaro flores (florez?)
de quinones (who lived in the xvi century). his mother was one brazaida de
quinones.
best wishes,
juan
