I am searching for information on SAAVEDRA, but don't know if I'm one of the
two you referred to, since I didn't see your original posting.

Hector SAAVEDRA y ROVIRA, a writer and journalist for various newspapers and
magazines (e.g. "La Habana Elegante") in the 19th-early 20th century, was
born abt. 1840, Santiago de Cuba, married Ma. Louisa SARACHAGA y Molina b.
1848, who died a few years after marriage. He remarried, but I can't locate
his second wife's name - will get back to you on that.

His parents were: Juan de SAAVEDRA y SANCHEZ, b. Havana
Numa ROVIRA y VALERIANO "

Grandparents: Hector de SAAVEDRA FORTE, b. Santiago de Compostela,
Galicia, Spain
Luisa SANCHEZ y MENDEZ DE NAVIA, b. Santiago de Cuba
