Ok, its been a hectic month for me that's why I'm late
with this news.

I would just like to say that thanks to this list I
linked up with guess who?.....Maria Hiers

STORY:
In January my mother called me and told me they had
just mentioned the name of a fallen family member at
the onset of the revolution in 1959. His name, Victor
Manuel Castro.

I began by investigating him since he was my mother's
half cousin. In my investigation with family members,
his sister, I learned he had been raised by a lady who
was the director of the Biblioteca Nacional. I was
taking notes.

Just 2 months ago, I was about to sign off for a while
when something told me not to. I stayed on. Three
weeks later Maria asked about the same lady....her
grandmother. I JUMPED!!!

I had jjust received this information when she asked
about her grandmother. We connected immediatly and
have found the other side of a long lost family. I am
now awaiting pictures that will be sent to me so they
can be shared by Victor Manuel's family members. There
are the two sides of a family who had a great loss and
all suffered at the same time due to the injustice and
savagery of the Castro regime.

So Maria, as I have figured...we should be 1/2 second
cousins once removed!

Thanks to Cuba-L this family connection was made
possible. Adelante!
