I suggest writing to the Government of Galicia. You will be surprised to see how much they care for their own. By the way you do not loose your Spanish Citizenship even if you had to adopt another to survive in America, that is unless that was your real desire. All Spanish Constitutions to the present one ratify this. It was no different when Cuba was an Spanish Province, till December 1898 that became a US property and then in May 20th., 1902 that became
a republic under US protection, "protectorado" under the Platt Amendment.
