Miguel Suastgegui was "ministro de reales cortes de madera" in 1766. A
record turns up in the notarial archives of Remedios, but he apparently
lived elsewhere and left no record in the Parish Archives there. Probably
the same Miguel Suastegui was "Ministro general de matriculas" in 1784 at
the time of his daughter's wedding in Havana.

These sound like positions that might have found their way into some branch
of AGI records. Has anyone had experience in tracking down persons holding
similar posts by using the Spanish Colonial archives?
