Dear all,
I'm happy to look up names at the Library of Congress in Washington in the Roloff book (Indice Alfabetico y Defunciones del Ejercito Libertador de Cuba),. however, I've been trying to get to the library for the last month with no success. They have limited hours and I have a hectic/unpredictable schedule.
Nevertheless, when I am able to get there, it would help if those of you who would like names of relatives who fought in this war looked up would give me the following:
relative's full name - including both last names
parent's names
approximate dates and region of service
any other clues (cavalry, rank etc)
The book is divided alphabetically by region, then regiment, and it is impossible to search for just PEREZ without the other information. In addition, if the relative died during the war, that information is in a separate section.
Raclare Kanal, since you are in the Washington, DC area, perhaps we can meet and we could go to the Library together? Four eyes are better than two...
Regards,
Rosa Moreno
Washington, DC
