Re Naturalization records: I have family information stating my great
grandfather, Manuel Castillo, was naturalized in Jacksonville Fl in 1874.
I have checked the FHC library catalague. Naturalization information
records are not available for the district court in FL during this time.
I do know in the early 1900s a fire destroyed a courthouse in Jacksonville
and many valuable records were lost. Does anyone know if this was the
case, then would there be any hope of obtaining these records from
national archives. Carol Castillo Heller researching Castillo,
