Dear Mary Ann,

My grandmother was born in 1902. She thought her father came from Spain
when he was a small boy, but he would never talk about it. I might have the
generations wrong. It might have been her grandfather who came from Spain as
a small boy. The story was that the father and son went from Spain to Cuba.
There was another child who stayed in Spain with the mother.

My greatgrandfather's name was Jose Finale y Alzua. His father was
Joaquin Finale de Guines and his mother was Regina Alzua de Cieba Moch. That
information is from my grandmother's birth certificate.
