Yes there are lots in NZ too & like Althea I didn't realise my grandparents were from Cornwall. My Dad who went back while on leave during WWII didn't get a very good reception when he tried to find some relatives so if others had the same reaction than its no wonder they didn't talk about where they came from.

There is a Cornish NZ Group but I don't know how many there are/were in NZ either.
