You brought back some wonderful visual images and memories. My family is from Chacewater and Blackwater -- near Scorrier and many worked at the Wheal Busy Mine.

One of the branches in the tree include a Katherine Teague (birthdate unknown).

The last time I visited Cornwall was in 1999 (or was it 2000). Anyway, I attended worship at the Wheal Busy Chapel -- which had been vacant for many, many years. Several of my cousins took it upon themselves to request Lord Falmouth to let them use the chapel. It runs on a financial shoestring, with preachers who serve other churches coming to Wheal Busy in the evening. They have some "newer" hymnals than when I was there 4 years earler when they were using some old out of print copies of hymnas from the Burning Bush publishing house in Waukesha, Wisc (where my mother worked for the very conservative splinter group of Methodists called The Metropolitan Church Assoc.)

Other chapels nearby where my ancestors gathered to worship were Salem Chapel and Zion Chapel -- both were once in ruins but have become lovely homes!

Maybe our families have traveled the same roads and share tea a time or two.
