Dear Group,

I first joined this group in January of this year to get a feeling for my
Cornish forebears. During this time I have picked up a lot of background
information, but I think it is time I started collecting some hard facts.

My g g grandfather John Cory returned to England from Sydney in 1827. From
legal documents in Australia, it is my understanding that he lived at
Ashton, Poughill, Cornwall until he died in 1855. I would be grateful for
any information that may confirm this. After his death, I think one of his
daughters, Sarah married to Thomas Ivey continued to live there.
