Can i impose my query onto the learned heads of geanie /stuff !!!.....
my ancestor John JOBE born 1673 Gwnnap and was listed on his
childrens baptimss, no mother, and he was a poor tinner at
Gwennap...
I could not find any marriage of him , but only his childrens
Baptismals...
In the Gwennap parish register there was listed a death of Milliar JOB,
( for the past couple of years, i was thinking most likely this was a
bad form for William, if not , did not know what sex this Milliar
was....
Couple of days ago, I was given some data on JOB/JOBEs in Cornwall,
this jumped out and grabbed me by the eyeballs, a John JOBE married
1700 Milliar URIN at Kenwyn,
The question i pose is....
1) how far is Kenwyn from Gwennap ??
2) what type of work would there be at Kenwyn, ??
3) If she was working at Gwennap, would it be doing the right thing by
having the ceremony at the Brides home town ?? ( for the moment i do
not know if she was born there etc... )
many thanks in advance for the lots and lots of responses !
regards
