TORBET, TORBERT, and BEAN
Looking for any information on this couple: Catherine Ann TORBERT(TORBET) and Plato BEAN, they had Mary J. and James ? by 1850 in Madison Co, though they were marries in Clark CO. in 1841. The son James may well be my James Henry Bean, found in DeWitt Co, IL in 1862. James evidently did not know his true birthdate, but gave Madison Co as his birthplace. Plato and Catherine are the only BEANS in Madison Co, in 1850 census, with a James of right age. Any help is greatly appreciated.
