Tim,

I do not have 3 rooms full of SC Casey material either - at the moment I just
have all flat surfaces in 3 rooms covered with SC Casey research! :-)

Do not have much info on the Abner Casey who is listed in Newberry Co. 1790
census with Levi Casey. Is this Levi Casey the son of Abner Casey the
Immigrant? I know that is what most researchers think but is there any proof?
The Abner in Newberrry 1790 has been confirmed (deed of 1777) as the son of
John. Is there proof that this John Casey was the son of Abner the Immigrant?
IF Levi is son of Abner the Immigrant and the Abner in Newberry County with
him is son of John who was son of Abner the Immigrant - Levi of 1790 Newberry
County would be the uncle of Abner of 1790 Newberry County - right?

The family of the Levi Casey shown in the Newberry Co., SC 1790 is well
documented so won't go into that line (Will post what I have on Levi if
anyone is interested) In 1790 Newberry Co., SC census Abner Casey is listed
with 2 males 16 and upward, 1 male under 16 and 6 females. He does not show
up on the 1800 Newberry County census - did he die sometime before 1800? In
1800 there is an Abner Casey age 45 and upwards in Spartanburg County - could
this be Abner of Newberry Co., 1790 and if not who is he? From the makeup of
the household ( 2 males 10-16, 1 male +45, 1 female - 10, 1 female 16-26 1
female 26-45) he does not appear to be the Abner of Newberry Co., 1790
Looking at the 1790 census Abner Casey in Newberry County I am assuming Abner
is one of the 45 and upwards males - who is the other - a son? And who is the
male 16 -26? Are the 6 females - 1 Abner's wife and 5 daughters? or perhaps
Abner's wife and wife of Abner's son and 4 granddaughters? Anyone know for
sure? Can anyone answer any of these questions? If so please help!

As we see here Abner Casey is still in Newberry Co., in 1797 - at least some
Abner Casey is. Still looking through my material for other info on Abner
Casey of 1790 Newberry Co., SC and will post if I find any. I am listing
only info from records I have found and I am not showing here theories of
early researchers (George and Abner Casey, Lewis F. Casey, Walter E. Casey,
etc.).

Yes, I too believe the Abner who died in SC is not Abner the Immigrant.
