I don't have any proof - that's what I'm trying to find. According to George
and Abner Casey, Aaron Casey (who was supposedly the father of Jesse Casey
and grandfather of Jesse E. Casey) moved to Tennessee about 1810 and died
there leaving a widow Mary "Polly" Wayne Casey who moved with the Caseys to
Newton County, AR and died there. There is a Mary "Polly" Casey buried in
Buffalo Cemetery in Newton County, AR (along with all the Caseys who moved to
AR from Roane and Morgan Co. TN) Date of birth listed as 1752 date of death
1845. This Mary "Polly" Casey was supposedly the widow of Aaron Casey.

As I said I found no evidence of an Aaron Casey in early records of East
Tennessee and this is what puzzles me. Of course lack of early census records
really causes a problem. But it is obvious if the Aaron Casey who lived in
Spartanburg, SC had a wife Sarah (not Mary) and he and his wife Sarah both
died in SC, the Mary "Polly" Casey who is buried in Newton County, AR could
not be the wife of that Aaron Casey.

Let's keep working on it - eventually we'll figure it out! :-) Patience,
Patience, Patience - been saying that for 30 years!
