Correction to my last post. William Casey was in Capt. Evan Shelby's
Company. Not Isaac Shelby. You can find this in "List of Soldiers at
the Battle of Point Pleasant" Sorry I don't know the website address,
but I'm sure you can do a google search on the title. I have been
researching the Casey's in Mason Co., VA/WV for 35 years. I live in the
area. Is anyone else searching this line. Thanks

Does anyone know who William Casey who fought in the Battle of Point
Pleasant (Mason Co.VA/WV) is? He was listed in Capt. Isaac Shelby's

You did not mention Spartanburg Census for 1820. Using the Estate
Papers of
Aaron Casey (died 1825) and his wife Sarah (Will dated 15 August 1828
died
before Dec. 1828 when an inventory of her estate was taken) and John
Casey
(Will written 5 Dec. 1815, recorded 14 August 1816) I came up with the
following ASSUMPTIONS about the Caseys in that census. This is my
opinion
only based as I said on info from the Wills/Estate Papers. Other
thoughts,
ideas and opinions appreciated.

Spartanburg Co., SC 1820

Page 251 Moses Casey - 000010-32010 - son of Aaron
Moses Casy - 210010-10010 - son of John
Not sure who is who here. Both John and Aaron named
sons
Moses
in their Wills/Estate Papers. Son of Aaron was Moses
H.
There is a
Moses H. in the 1830 census. Also a Moses B and a
Moses
with no
initial.
Page 252 Aron Casy - 011211-00201 - Aaron died 1825 and his wife Sarah
died
in
1828.
Page 268 Moses Casy - 100201-21100 - Brother of Aaron?? A Moses
mentioned as

Aaron's
brother
in Estate Papers
Page 269 Jesse Casy - 200010-40010 son of John - A son John named in
Will
Joseph Casy - 010201-11110 - son of John - Joseph was
executor of his
father's
Will.
William Casy - 000001-10101- son of Aaron? - A son
William
named in


Sarah's Will
Randolph Casey - 111210-31010
Isaac Casey - 100010-40100 - son of Randolph??

Page 270 James Casy - 10010-10100 - son of Aaron?? - A son James named
in
Sarah's Will
Jesse Casey - 100010-10010
Uriah Casey - 100010-10100

Page 278 - When I read the microfilm years ago I thought there was a
Casy
at the top of page 278 but could not make out the first name. Anyone
know?

Hope I didn't make any typos!! If I did please gently call them to my
attention. :-) Also hope the message doesn't lose it's format in transit
- if
it does it will not make any sense! AOL sometimes likes to mess with my
mail.
